Speaker – Amy Allison, Executive Director Down Syndrome Guild of Greater Kansas City

Place – UNO Community Engagement Center Room 231

Topic – Transition to Adulthood: Surviving the Turbulent Teen Years

Teen years are difficult for parents of any child. Add Down syndrome to the mix and it becomes more challenging to navigate puberty, sexuality, friendships, education and planning for the future. This seminar provides tips and tools to help parents effectively navigate the turbulent teen years and keep their eye on the prize of becoming empty nesters some day!
