WhyArts, founded in 1990, is dedicated to providing Omaha’s underserved populations with access to inclusive quality arts programming. We contract with professional teaching artists to conduct workshops and activities in visual arts, theatre, dance, movement, music, the spoken word, literature, storytelling and animation. This programming is designed to educate, entertain and inspire our audiences.

Join Why Arts? Inc on select Saturdays this year for entertaining and insightful puppet shows at the Omaha Children’s Museum.

This series introduces children to those with special needs and differently-abled people through puppet plays and a Q &A session.

Each puppet show begins at 11 a.m. in the Family Discovery Room located on the first floor of the museum.

Puppet shows are included with museum admission.

Puppet Show Themes:
– Down Syndrome, March 3, 17 & 31 with Down Syndrome Alliance of the Midlands
– Cerebral Palsy, April 14 & 28 with Gotta Be Me
– Blindness, May 12 & 26 with Outlook Nebraska
