Social Media 101 – Supporting Individuals with Special Needs on Social Media
April 26 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pmFree
MOVED TO THURSDAY, APRIL 26. If you already registered, your reservation will be honored.
Those of us that support individuals with disabilities want to be able to use the most modern technology to offer assistive technology to our family members with special needs. And they, like their typical peers, want to be included and involved in Social Media.
Now more than ever, it is time for parents to get smart about technology and social media. We must keep our families safe from the pitfalls of being connected 24/7.
This workshop will be instrumental in educating and inspiring parents to have meaningful conversations, make informed decisions about their family’s technology and social media usage and provide guidance in using social media to adults with disabilities.
In this workshop, you will learn about: Instagram, Snapchat, Musicl.ly, Facebook, Twitter, FOMO, Geotagging, Six-Clicks, digital footprints, COPPA, and more.
Presenter: Amie Konwinksi, Founder and CEO of Smart Girl Society.
Reservations are required. CLICK HERE to register.
