Free Caregiver Education Program Starts in January with UNMC MMI

The UNMC Munroe-Meyer Institute has recently started a caregiver education program to help caregivers jump-start accessing resources and teaching skills to their child at home while waiting for more intensive autism services.

This is a FREE group for caregivers, families with a child with or at risk of autism that starts in January.

This group will be led by autism experts and caregivers will receive a toolkit of materials and information related to autism spectrum disorder.  By the end of the meeting you will have an early intervention tool kit for:

  • Understanding Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Managing Problematic Behaviors
  • Teaching Communication
  • Community/School Resources

Classes will be held on every Monday in January from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at the Munroe-Meyer Institute at 444 S 44th Street, Omaha, NE, 68105.

If you are interested in signing up for this group, please contact Katie Brown at or call 402-559-8898.

Registration closes on December 31.
