The Children’s Respite Care Center (CRCC) is sponsoring a FREE cooking class for parents at their Northwest facility on 88th and Blondo on Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:30 PM, starting January 25 and continuing through March 1.  Parents will learn about healthy eating on a budget from a professional dietitian and cooking skills from a professional chef.  Participants will also take home free groceries and other goodies for additional practice.  Dinner and childcare will be provided.  (WOO HOO!)

Brad Wendel

I was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska (GO BIG RED) and live there with my wife Mindi and our 5-year old son, Alex. Alex was diagnosed on the Spectrum in the Spring of 2014. Originally non-verbal, Alex has made massive leaps in speech and motor development thanks to local therapists, teachers, assistants and countless recreational and educational activities available to residents of the Omaha area. I promise to work hard and make sure you are aware of everything available to you and your special needs children.
