The amazing folks over at WhyArts? have arranged for a series of FREE performances this coming Summer. Each performance will provide “through-provoking puppet shows designed to promote awareness and positive attitudes among young children.” Each show is FREE and consists of a 20-minute dialogue between 2 puppets, one of who has a disability. The second puppet asks the first puppet questions about their disability. Each show concludes with a performance of the song “Kids are Different” in sign language, followed by a Q&A session.
We will keep a listing of every performance in our Events Calendar, but here are the performances confirmed so far:
Kids on the Block Performances are provided in collaboration with UNMC Munroe-Meyer Institute, the Down Syndrome Alliance of the Midlands, Outlook Nebraska and Gotta Be Me.
